Purpose of Use
Joint are to be introducet in concrete and reinforcet concrete structures. Expansion joints are the joints left in some parts of the reinforcet structures elements in order to prevent the deformation resulting form a decrease in volume as the cement finishes its solidification, destroy the structure.
As known, the expansion and elongation movements in the structures are not negligible in size and are continuosuly repeating. Additionally, because of the movements or compression of the ground under the structure, a downward movement, a settlement, occurs.
On the other hand, joints introducet perpendicular to the direction of pressurized stresses where the casting of concrete is stopped for a while and rsetarted are where the casting of concrete is stopped for a while and restarted are defined as construction joints.
Joints in the structure exhibits contraction because of the thermal expansions and ground movements. Such joints are defined as contraction joints.

 |
Because of the above mentioned reasons, in order to avoid deformation in concrete structures experiencing various horizontal and vertical movements and to ensure impermeability of such buildings, PVC Waterstops are used within the expansion joints introducet in the structure.

Fields of use
Dams, reservoirs, irrigation channels, water tanks, water discharge plants, ewimming pools, docks, diverson tunnels, hydroelectric and thermal power plants, bridges, purification plants, metro construction, viaducts, retaining wall, pavements and foundations iying on the ground, industrial buildings.
