Installation

            Joint brow formworks prepared for pouring 1 st layer of cement must be in 2 parts and the waterstop band must be placed i between the two parts formwork. For full impermeability, Attention must be given to have no foreing objects such as dust, cocrete particles that may reduce adherence at the surface water stop bands and to have full coverage of cement around waterstop band. Cement must be in adequate consistency and attention must be given to have no prosity and vibration must be performed adequately at these places.

Special Productd Wiht Reinforcement Fittings At The Edge
In order to be fitted to the rainforcement after the placement inside the formwork, PVC Waterstops are manufactured, upon request, with fitting holes 50 cm apart at the edges of both sides.

Welding Process
            PVC Waterstops are atteched by welding (melting) system as their cross sectional surfaces face to each other. Equipment required for this application is listed below:
Welding plate: Copper or brass plate of minimum 5 mm in thickness suitable to be heated thermostatically wiht electricity or, in the absence of electricity, wiht butane gas.
Wire brush, Model Knife and Welding Mount: wooden or aluminium prepared for a specific type of waretstop band.

Welding process: Corresponding  edges of waterstops are cut straight with a model knife. Both bands are placed in the welding mount. While doing so, the brow faces of both bands must be contacted. Welding plate must be heated to 200°C - 220°C wiht termostatic heaters after being cleaned by a wire brush. In welding processes where butane gas burners are used, heating must be made to 200°C. Welding plate of adequate temperature is placed in between the brow faces of both bands and kept there until the melting of edges of both bands held inside the mount. Melting must be checked by ede in order to avoid any burning. If melting is excessive then carbonisation may ocur.

After sufficent melting of waterstop band moint is opened and the olate is removed. And immediately the edges of both bands are pressed to each other and squeezed. A period of tıme (20 minutes) is waited until the cooling is over. In the meantime, welding plate is cleaned with the wire brush. After the cooling is over, welding mount is removed. It is visually and manually checked whether the welding is done properly. Any burning is specifically avoided. In such cases the edges of bands are re-cut and re- welded. Otherwise water leakage may ocur. Upon your request welding machine with termostatic control and wooden mounts are provided by use.

Storage
Waterstops shall not be exposed to direct sun light and ezternal factors such as snow and rain and contacted with grease, oil and other bitumious materials and shall be stored in closed areas.
